Important: Before downloading the KMSPico activator, you must temporarily disable Windows Defender and any other antivirus. Otherwise, the file will be automatically deleted or blocked.

Why does antivirus delete KMSPico?

KMSPico is a Windows and Microsoft Office activator that works by emulating a KMS (Key Management Service) server — the same technology Microsoft itself uses in corporate networks to activate licenses.

Because the program interacts with Windows licensing processes, antivirus software (including Windows Defender) flags it as HackTool, Riskware, or Not-a-Virus. This does not mean the file contains a virus — it’s a standard reaction from security software to any activator, keygen, or patcher.

Why it’s safe:
  • KMSPico contains no trojans, spyware, or miners (when downloaded from the official source).
  • The program only emulates a local activation server — it sends nothing to the internet.
  • After activation, Windows works normally and continues receiving updates.
  • All antivirus tools are technically required to flag such utilities — it’s Microsoft’s policy, not a real threat.
